The countryside and snacks

We saw many rural gardens and farms on our train ride. The are many houses on canals. We think these are rice fields. It looks like wheat, and they were harvesting some fields.

Our guide in Hangzhou met us at the train station, which is only about a year old and the largest in Asia. The ride was very fast and very smooth. It took about an hour with two stops along the way. We ate at McDonald's for lunch. After our naps, we walked about West Lake for a little bit and bought some snacks for the room.

We meet our guide at 9:00 am to head to the civil affairs office and meet Rachel!
